Yesterday’s Mystery Object was a Butter Mold.
This butter press and it is made out of wood. It was popular to carve designs into wood to make a sort of stamp. This stamp would then be pressed into the surface of soft butter and removed. The design would be imprinted on the surface as a decoration.
