The John Jay Homestead Farm Market is a weekly outdoor, certified market which provides the finest New York-grown, fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, seafood, breads, specialty items and more on a historic farm setting.
Every Saturday, customers can expect to find certified organic and biodynamic produce, ethically-raised, organic meat and eggs, as well as a wide variety of artisan food items with dozens of weekly vendors.
While at John Jay Homestead, patrons can also enjoy a walk, sight see, and explore flower, herb, and vegetable gardens or picnic on the historic grounds of John Jay Homestead.

Members of Friends of John Jay Homestead provide invaluable support for our education and public programming. As a token of our appreciation, we are thrilled to introduce an exclusive opportunity for Members to shop the Market from 9:00am to 9:30am before the general public. Not a Member? Market Location and Parking
The Market will be held in the historic barnyard again this year.
Please use the Farm Lane entrance.
Parking is available in the field in front of the white Brick Cottage.

- How do I know which vendors will be at the Market?
An e-mail is distributed every Friday morning with information on which vendors will be attending that Saturday’s Market. Subscribe to our newsletter to ensure you receive these e-mails.
- Do I have to wear a mask at the Market?
If you have been fully vaccinated you are not required to wear a mask. If you have not been vaccinated, you must wear a mask at the Market.
- Are dogs allowed at the Market?
Yes, dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash at all times.
- Can I eat at the Market?
If you have been fully vaccinated, you may eat inside the Market Area. No eating is permitted inside the Market area for those who have not been vaccinated. Patrons are welcome to exit the designated Market area to eat. Ample picnic seating will be available.
- Will I have to wait to get into the Market?
In order to maintain appropriate social distancing protocols, we may only allow a limited number of patrons into the market at any given time. We do not anticipate long waits if any.
- What else can I do at the Homestead during the Market?
While most of our buildings are still closed due to safety protocols, the Carriage Barn Education & Visitor Center will be open on Saturdays from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Our 62-acre park is open to hike the perimeter trail, fish in the ice pond, take a self-guided landscape tour, and enjoy the beauty of our various gardens.
