The Carriage Barn Education & Visitor Center, opened on May 19, 2013, provides a new level of service to the public, including:
• Viewing area for a video about John Jay and the site
• Hands-on activity space to supplement student tours and programs
• State of the art computer stations with interactive educational components
• Gift shop
• Information desk
• Venue for small Homestead events
• Venue for related community events
• Reading Room
The Carriage Barn Education & Visitor Center, a $1.4 million project, is a proud addition to the list of restored outbuildings made possible through the efforts of Friends of John Jay Homestead and its partnership with New York State.
