America’s 250th anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate not only our nation’s founding ideals, but also the enduring values of service, community, and civic responsibility that continue to shape our lives today.

In honor of this milestone—and the Jay family’s long legacy of public service, particularly the contributions of John Jay’s daughters—Friends of John Jay Homestead is proud to partner with FEED, the social impact company founded by Lauren Bush Lauren, to help address hunger close to home.

Beginning June 27 and continuing every Saturday through November, visitors to the John Jay Homestead Farm Market can participate in this community-wide effort in two ways:

Purchase a FEED x John Jay Homestead Tote Bag

Available for $38, each limited-edition tote helps provide fresh, locally grown produce to families experiencing food insecurity in northern Westchester. Purchase a bag online or at the Farm Market beginning June 27.

Donate FEED Bucks

Every dollar donated through FEED Bucks is used to purchase fresh produce directly from Farm Market vendors. That produce is then distributed through our community partners, the Community Center of Northern Westchester (CCNW) and The Pantry. Donate here.

Providing Food Support for Our Neighbors

Fresh, healthy food should be accessible to everyone. Through this initiative, market shoppers can make a direct impact by helping local farmers and supporting local families at the same time.

Every tote purchased and every FEED Buck donated helps place fresh fruits and vegetables into the hands of our neighbors in need.

Become a Member and Receive a Tote Bag

All new and renewing members of Friends of John Jay Homestead will receive a complimentary FEED x John Jay Homestead tote bag as a thank-you for their support. Bags may be picked up at the Market Manager tent at the Farm Market each Saturday. Learn about memberships here. Become a member here.

Membership not only helps preserve and sustain the historic site, but also strengthens this effort to provide fresh local produce to our community partners. Together, we can honor the Jay family’s tradition of civic engagement while making a meaningful difference today.

Limited Commemorative Release at La Maison Fête

A limited number of commemorative FEED x John Jay Homestead tote bags will also be available for purchase at La Maison Fête at 617 Old Post Road in Bedford.
