Yesterday’s Mystery Object was a Cream Separater.
This object is made of metal. It is a cream separator invented to separate the cream from cow’s milk. The cream would be used to make butter and the milk could be sold. Before the milk separator was invented, farmers had to wait for the cream to rise out of the milk until it rested on top (cream is lighter than milk and rises, or floats, to the top of a milk jug). This would take a lot of time. The separator would separate the cream from the milk much faster.
