Yesterday’s Mystery Object was a Tea Ball or Tea Strainer.
Dried tea leaves would be scooped into the strainer and the strainer would be latched closed. Then it would be placed into a teacup wit hot water in it, just like a tea bag. The strainer would allow the water to steep the tea leaves without the leaves being loose in the cup.
