Yesterday’s Mystery Object was a Mote Spoon.
This is a spoon of course! But what kind of spoon needs holes? Holes in a spoon don’t seem very helpful. However, this is a very special type of spoon that does a very particular job. This is a mote spoon and its job is to gather up any loose tea leaves that may have gotten into a teacup. The leaves would be caught in the spoon while the tea itself passed through the holes and stayed in the teacup.
