Yesterday’s Mystery Object was a Brick of Tea.
Tea is made from dried and crumbled tea leaves. These leaves would be pressed together in order to make a solid brick. In a brick form, it would be easier to trade with. To use the tea for drinking, a small piece would be cut off and added to hot water.
