Thematic Tour—John Jay & Gouverneur Morris

New York Revolutionary Gouverneur Morris died on November 6th, 1816.  Often referred to as the “Penman of the Constitution,” Gouverneur Morris is frequently forgotten among the Founding Fathers. This tour will explore Morris’s political career, his vibrant personality and his close friendship with John Jay.

The number of tickets available for each tour is strictly limited. We strongly recommend you purchase your tickets in advance. Please note that all members of your party are required to have a ticket for admittance, even if there is no fee associated with their ticket. Tickets are transferable, but not refundable.

Please join us for a lecture, snacks and shopping! MARJORIE SHAFFER will speak about Cinnamon: a Bittersweet History. Marjorie is the Author of Pepper: A History of the World’s Most Influential Spice. She has just completed travels and research throughout Southeast Asia in connection with her next book about Cinnamon. She will offer samples of cinnamon from Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and other parts of the world. Check In begins at 6:30pm. Suggested Donation: $20. Seating is Limited, Please Register Early.
