Thematic Tour—The United States Constitution

Happy Constitution Month!  On September 17, 1787, the United States Constitution was signed.  Join us as we explore the debates, controversies, and compromises that led to the establishment of the oldest governing document in the world.

The number of tickets available for each tour is strictly limited. We strongly recommend you purchase your tickets in advance. Please note that all members of your party are required to have a ticket for admittance, even if there is no fee associated with their ticket. Tickets are transferable, but not refundable.

Barn Dance

Join us for the 22nd Annual Barn Dance this Fall! Featuring pig races, a pizza truck, music by local bands, and a campfire, this festive fundraiser for Friends of John Jay Homestead supports our education programs and all that we do.

Connecting to Collections – Curatorial Fabulous Finds: Historic Documents

Letters, documents, and other historic artifacts on paper are arguably the best sources for historians to study the everyday lives of past generations. This lecture will give visitors a closer look at a few documents, and other paper artifacts that belonged to the Jays. Telling a more in-depth story about how people in the 18th and 19th century lived from day to day.
