Thematic Tour—John Jay & The Revolutionary War

Happy birthday America! Although John Jay did not sign the Declaration of Independence, he was a passionate supporter of our fight for freedom. Jay served on a committee exposing and prosecuting Loyalists, led a ring of spies, and eventually gained favorable terms in our peace agreement to end the war. Take a docent-led tour of John Jay’s home to explore these and other contributions John Jay made toward our nations birth.

The number of tickets available for each tour is strictly limited. We strongly recommend you purchase your tickets in advance. Please note that all members of your party are required to have a ticket for admittance, even if there is no fee associated with their ticket. Tickets are transferable, but not refundable.

Connecting to Collections – Made In New York

New York City was the home to many expert cabinet makers and craftsman in the 17th, 18th and 19th century, and the source for much of the Jay’s furnishings. Take a tour focused on the pieces from our collection made in New York.
