Happy Birthday Thomas Jefferson! John Jay and Thomas Jefferson were constant adversaries during their political careers, but became friends and corresponded often during retirement.  Take a docent-led tour of John Jay's Bedford House highlighting the relationship between Jay and Jefferson.Tours depart from the glass porch of the Main House at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Regular admission fees apply.

Happy birthday, James Madison! Our fourth president and Virginia native, James Madison, co-authored The Federalist Papers with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay. Although Madison and Jay were instrumental in the ratification of the United States Constitution in 1787, they later diverged politically when Madison aligned with Thomas Jefferson and his Democratic-Republicans. Take a docent-led tour of John Jay’s Bedford House highlighting the relationship between these two Founding Fathers.Tours depart from the glass porch of the Main House at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Regular admission fees apply.

Family Teaching Garden

Presented by InterGenerate. This six-week series will focus on spring planting, the growing season, and the life-cycle of plants. Our Teaching Garden is also a Giving Garden as the food we grow will be donated to those in need (after tasting, of course!).
