Jay Walking: Big Old Trees!

This walk will focus on really large, native and introduced specimen trees in the Homestead’s very special collection. We’ll visit a massive Cucumber Magnolia, a giant Civil War-era American Sycamore, an elephant parade of European Beech, and others. Our talk will focus on identifying species characteristics, the importance of conserving native species and more. Registration is recommended. Meet at the Friends of John Jay Homestead table at the Farm Market.
