Koran began his career with State Parks in 2008 at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown, and came to John Jay Homestead as a Park Worker 3 Maintenance in the summer of 2013. He has training in the trades of carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and refrigeration He is also a certified water treatment operator, maintaining the Homestead’s public water supply system. Working at the Homestead has allowed him to develop knowledge of historic preservation and collections management. Koran is working towards a degree in business.
