Heather graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.A. in History, followed by an M.A. degree in Museum Studies and American Studies from George Washington University. Heather has worked locally at Sunnyside and Kykuit, and completed contract work for six D.C. Metro area museums and historical organizations. She came to John Jay Homestead in early 2007 after serving over five years as the Historic Site Manager of Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site, where she also worked as Public Program Coordinator.
