Founders Lecture: An Evening With Darren Walker

October 26, 2018 6:30 pm–8:30 pm

Walker is one of the non-profit luminaries of this generation.  A very incomplete list of his accomplishments would have to include leading the multi-philanthropy initiative to protect the Detroit Institute of Art during Detroit's bankruptcy; leading Rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina; and now serving as co-Chair of the New York City Commission on City Art, Monuments, and Markers.  He has received thirteen honorary degrees and university awards, and has been included on numerous annual media lists, including Time Magazine's annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, and OUT Magazine's Power 50.
