Family Series in the Teaching Garden

The Friends of John Jay Homestead is partnering with INTERGENERATE to present a 6-week gardening series about planting, the growing season, and the life cycle of plants in its Teaching Garden. This class is for families with children ages 4-10. Children make the farm-to-table connection through hands-on planting and tending a vegetable garden while exploring plant parts, ecology and, of course, bugs! Food grown in the Giving Garden will be donated to several organizations supporting those in need.
For more information, about InterGenerate, click here.
The 6-week series is limited to 10 families for a fee of $175 per family.
Wait-listed families will be offered early signup for the Summer or Fall series.
Registrants: In addition to attending the one hour class on Sundays, each registered family will be asked to tend the garden during the week, one week per session.
